My sound doesnt work fro some reason

My sound doesnt work and i dont know how to fix it. I
tried going into trouble shoot and follow the instruction
but it still doesnt work. When i try to open the volume
control it won't let me, it says that i ahve to install
the mixer devices, but i dont know how. Cna someone
please help me thank you.
