My send / receive button has disappeared! I have tried everything that I can
think of including resizing the tool bar, reconfiguring my e-mail profile,
etc. I have no button on the tool bar and I have no send / recieve button
under my "tool" pull down window. Any thoughts?

1. Is your mail account installed and configured correctly?
2. Have you tried renaming your outcmd.dat file and then reopen Outlook?
3. Does Detect and Repair help?
4. Are you in a mail folder when you try to find the send/receive button?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

My e-mail account is configured correctly I beleive. When I run the test
operation everything checks. I receive the test e-mail sent to my account.
How do you rename the outcmd.dat file? I saw this mentioned in another thread
and could not follow the instructions. I have not run "detect and repair"
yet. I will try that after I learn how to rename outcmd.dat file.
The send / receive button disappears when in a mail folder. The odd thing
about this is that I have my wife and son set up on different XP profiles on
the same computer and they have no problems with Outlook.
