When I want to send a link, my Thunderbird mail message form pops up instead
of my outlook mail form

change your default mail program in the browser.

for ie explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Email

Thank you for the suggestion but those settings are already set up for
Microsoft Outlook (I checked them before I posted and again after your post).
That is my problem: If I am on a website and then want to send link to
someone using the
little envelope icon on my toolbar, instead of opening my outlook mail , it
defaults to my Thunderbird and displays that email message.

When I use Thunderbird, it always asks me if I want to use Thunderbird as my
default before I open the mail there and use it, and I always answer "no".

On windows/internet explorer in my settings, I have that Microsoft Outlook
is my email.

Can't find what else to do; if I click on the evenlope icon and chose "get
mail" it does bring me to my Outlook mail; but for some reason when I click
"Links" or "Page" it sends me to the Thunderbird mail form.

any other ideas? Appreciate it

In Control Panel open Add / Remove Programs. On the left side click on
"Set Program Access and Defaults". Expand the custom section and put a
tick mark in the program you want as a default for email.

So is Outlook your default email program?

Outlook>Tools>Options>Other
Check "make Outlook your default email, etc."
