You hard drive has to be formatted NTFS for the security tab to be there. If
it is formatted as FAT32, it will not be there, as FAT32 does not support
security permissions.

It is possible to convert your drive to NTFS, however if you do not have
enough free space on the drive, it will not work. And as always: Back up any
important data before attempting to convert your file system.

To convert a volume to NTFS from the command prompt
Open Command Prompt.
In the command prompt window, type
convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs

For example, typing convert D: /fs:ntfs would format drive D: with the ntfs
format.
