I have a new media centre computer, with wireless mouse and keyboard. I have
read that this can be a problem, but I can't find a fix for this problem.

Hello. If you are using a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard/Mouse, do the
following:

1. Hit START, RUN, Msconfig and press ENTER.
2. When the System Configuration Utility is displayed, click on the
STARTUP
tab.
3. Uncheck the entry next to "EHTRAY.EXE.
4. Apply the change.
5. Restart you Computer.
6. Your Screensaver wll now work.]This is regular problem if you use a
microsoft wireless mouse or keyboard
and the Media 05...most forums have reported it.

There isnt a fix as yet but a couple of ways around it

Got the same problem myself, I have a dell XPS with wireless mouse and
keyboard. I have run the disc-checker and found no errors or problems. Also I
just found out that my system standby also doesnt work. (the one that
supposed to switch off my moniter after so many mins idle).

No change, have shut a lot off in msconfig. No changes.

7. EHTRAY is an optimizer program for Media Center that is not
required.
You won't notice any change in performance.

I am also experiencing problems with my screen saver. In my case it is a
third party screensaver, the rest work. I get a warning saying "cannot find
file flash.ocx". I looked for that file and it is located at
C:\WINDOWS\ServicesPackFiles\i386.

I tried reinstalling the screensaver but it is the same. It has been working
well until two days ago that I downloaded the new version of Netscape browser
and made a full scan.

I also use a wireless Kensigton mouse which I combine with a cable one
because lately the wireless mouse won't work when I start the computer (not
always though) but the screensaver had been working without problems until
the Netscape download and scan.

Can anyone help, please?
Thank you
