My screen has black margins on each side

My screen doesn't take up the size of the monitor. It has one inch black
margins on each side. When I log in on a different user name, the screen is
normal and takes up the size of the monitor. How do I fix this problem and
get my screen to me normal- sized again?

Adjust your monitor or change the refresh rate or the screen resolution.

Hi Heather,

Use the Controls on your particular monitor to spread out the image or
raster on the monitor. Read the User's Manual.

Also, if you have an nVidia graphics card, check the nVidia
desktop/graphics manager, sometimes settings can get messed up,
restoring to default should fix it if this is the cause. I assume that
other gpahics card makers also have a similar utility.
