"My Recent Documents"

In XP, how do I disable the display of recent documents
from the Start=>My Recent Documents location? I just
don't want them visible to anyone, esp since I work on
external media, even when floppy or CD is removed, the
files still are visible.

Please help.

Hi Brayton,

Right click Start Button -> Properties -> Customize -> Advanced -> at the
bottom uncheck "List my most recent open documents..."

If you take CD with you no one can read your files. Only link stay on PC...

hi,

right click on the taskbar and choose properties. Then
switch to the tab start menu and click on the customize
button and u will get another pop up window. click on the
advanced tab and u will see a region "recent documents"
There will be a check box which says List my most
recently opened documents. Uncheck that and the documents
will never show on ur taskbar.
