I have just bought a NF24ALH - Mach4 NVIDIA nForce 2 400 Socket A ATX Mainboard when I put it in and put the power on for the first time due to I have lost my Windows 98 CD in some of the applications I had to skip a couple of files. I then decided to upgrade to Windows XP so I disabled Go Back and installed Windows XP. After a while I realised that I didn’t have a floppy drive so I went into the Bios settings and under the Drive A setting I put my 1.44 in floppy drive. I must have hit something else because when I rebooted It didn’t want to start to I had to wipe my CMOS memory this worked but on the screen where you hit delete to get into the BIOS it said I only had I 1.3GHZ processor when I actually have a AMD XP 3000+ Also it said I was only running at 200mhz FSB when my motherboard is actually 400MHZ. How to I get these to talk to each other to produce the right quality? In Bios under the Advanced Chipset Frequency it only goes up to 200MHZ not 400. I also don’t know how to tell it I’ve got a different processor to it thinks. When you get out of BIOS and back onto the screen were you hit delete to get into bios the following error comes up:
Floppy disk(s) fail (40)
This originally said 80 instead of 40. You can’t do anything about this message but either hit delete to go into the BIOS or to hit F1 to continue to load windows. When you hit F1 to load windows then go into the floppy drive this also comes up with the following error:
Please insert a disk into drive A:
I think these to error messages are related so once you get one sorted you get the other.
Please can you help with both problems?
Thanks

P.S. I run on Windows XP with a NF24ALH - Mach4 NVIDIA nForce 2 400 Socket A ATX Mainboard and a GF FX5200 128mb DDR TV nVidia Graphics card. 256mb 400mhz FSB DDR ram. I’m using the onboard-integrated sound. An AMD XP 3000+ processor, which thinks it’s a AMD 1303 processor. And Direct X 9.0b.
Any downloads will have to come through a different PC due to this computer doesn’t even have a modem!!
I hope I’ve given you enough info for you to reply
Thanks
