My Pictures folder says "Access Denied"

I am trying to hook up a laptop hard drive up to my desktop b/c the laptop
crashed. I can see all other folders on the drive except for the "My
Pictures" folder. It keeps telling me "Access Denied"...

Does anyone know why this folder will not allow me access? This contains
lots of pictures that I would like to get back, but I dont know how to access
it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to take ownership. From Start go to Help and Support. Type
ownership in the search box or see these links:
