Reposting my question: My photo gallery show only one picture. The rest
have a box with a red "x" in it. How do I fix this?

Use File Menu | Preview in Browser, then Right click on a Red X, then select Properties and see
where the image is suppose to be within your web, then make the image is in that location.

After reading some of the other responses on why can't I view my picture---I
need to clarify my question with .... I'm using FrontPage 2003. Could really
use the help. How do I fix this? My thumbprints only show a box w/a red "x"
in it. And when I click on the thumbprint (photogallery), it doesn't open.
Please help...but be gentle.

Do you have a link we could look at?

Some causes of the red x.

snipped from:
http://accessfp.net/frontpagephotogallery.htm

"My graphic is broken on my web site.

This can be caused by one of the following: You acquired this graphic from
another web site When you add a graphic to a web site and then save the page
that it's on, you are prompted to save that graphic to the same web site
where your page is saved. If you acquired this graphic from a shared
location or another web site, and you didn't save it to a folder in your web
site, the path to it will be broken if that graphic is removed from the
shared location or web site, and it will not display on your web page.

You need to publish the image or the folder where it lives to your Web
server If you have a graphic that you are using for a web page located in a
local folder, when you publish that web page, you also need to publish the
folder where all the graphics are or all your graphics will appear to be
broken."

Tip now out is: THUMBS.DB AND FRONTPAGE
http://frontpage-tips.com/ - FrontPage Tips
They are primarily for FrontPage 2003 but will be good
for earlier versions too.

Thank you, Thomas. I know my files are in the right place, because the first
pic will appear at the bottom, as it should. But the thumbprints all show
the box w/red "x"....and won't allow me to click and open them. If I switch
them around (another picture to be "first"), the picture I choose to be first
in the line-up appears as it should...but still all the others are messed up.
I will check out the web sites everyone provided and hopefully I will find
an answer.

I was also told it has to do with resolution/compression/dpi......but my
other pictures work just fine. If you'd like to see to what I am
referring...please visit the website.... www.bjbales.com

In all your photgalleries your path is pointing above your root web
For example in http://www.bjbales.com/Day1Pics.htm you have
<!--webbot bot="PhotoAlbum" U-Include="../photogallery/photo00019897/real.htm" clientside TAG="BODY" startspan -->
<picture file-href="../photogallery/photo00019897/real_p.htm" />
<picture file-href="../photogallery/photo00019897/real_x.htm" />

The ../ mean one folder up from http://www.bjbales.com/ (not possible)
And I can't even find your photo gallery at the root using
http://www.bjbales.com/photogallery/photo00019897/real.htm

Start by making sure you have imported all files into your FP Web / Site before creating a photogallery to get the path correct

Since http://www.bjbales.com/_vti_inf.html is not found, that indicates the Site does not have the FP SE and you are FTPing (or
using some other tool to upload) and you are not using the correct path in your uploads

....in addition...some of your pics are HUGE like the one with old man make-up on on the about page...it's 5.4 meg. There are others that are way too big as well..you need to optimize them. That image at that size should be about 15K.
