My PC with XP Home Edition hangs very frequently stops responding
unexpectedly and I have to restart again and again.
Event Veiwer shows application hang,Not Responding message.
My Vendor says its due to Voltage fluctuations in electrical wiring. Is this
true?
I have P4,2.4,WinXP Home.
Please help me to solve my severe problem.
Thanks.

Computers can 'hang' for many reasons. To see if voltage fluctuation is the
problem, run your computer with a UPS, which is a good idea in any case.

Hi ! Tom
Thanks for the reply.
Will UPS stabilize the voltage and current(Amp) and supply the uniform
flow.?
I sent back to my Vendor for checking but it works fine there and he did not
find any defects.
I have NVidea 64 MB Video Card,512 RAM and this is my new PC.I tried
upgrading my WIN Xp but could not solve the problem.
If u have any suggestion,pl help me and provide me any links.
Thank You.

A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is essentially a battery that powers
your computer when the line voltage drops off. Some UPS devices include
'line conditioning', which maintains the line voltage within a strict range.

For good information and advice about UPSes, see the American Power
Conversion Corporation's web site at www.apcc.com.
