I tried to insert a graphic, and next thing i know my page's ruler is
centered and then when i switch to normal view my ruler is pushed to the left
side of teh screen. How do i go back to my Normal settings? It isn't my zoom.
Please help 4 days now with this!!!!!

Hello-

What you describe sound like normal behavior based on the way Normal View
works. If you want to see the 'centered' ruler and page-width, switch to
Print Layout View.

No, it's not normal. my page is only half way on the normal view, then in
print layout view it is centered in the window. I have 00 and 03 installed
and both all of sudden are doing this... somone else on my network
experienced the same thing but after a day his went back to normal? Any
suggestions?
Thanks

Check file > page setup > layout > set vertical alignment to 'top'.

I checked that it is at top.. keep trying.. Im telling you ive been searching
this thing for days now I reallly appreciate your help.

This is perfectly normal. When you insert a graphic (in Word versions before
Word 2000), it is inserted "floating," so Word switches to Page Layout view
so that you can see objects in the drawing layer. In Page Layout (Print
Layout) view, the page is centered on the screen. When you switch back to
Normal view, the ruler is aligned left.

Is it possible that the size of the graphic iscausing the text to shift? I'm
not clear on what you describe as <<my page is only half way on the normal
view>>. You might try applying text wrap to the image & see if the text
reflows as you seem to expect it to.

There may also be somewhat of a problem induced by having 2 separate
versions of Word installed.
