My Outlook Express opens attachments in Word Pad instead of Micro.

Every time I click on an attachment to open it in Outlook Express, it opens
it in Word Pad. How can I make it open it in Microsoft Word? I am using
Windows XP home and Outlook Express 6.0.

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news groups.

You need to check the file extention, for Word it should be ".doc".
Then check your file associations. I'm guessing the attachment you are
trying to open is a ".txt"
