When I view my Network Places, it does not show all of the drives connected
to this system - those are shown under an Unknown Heading.

It seems that my System seems to lose these drives from the correct
machine - with no rhyme or reason.

If I delete the Icon and then Add a New Network Place - again it does not
put it undre the System Heading again puting it as Unknown.

Any ideas how to correct please

Hello Alan
I'm running XP pro and had the same conditions.
I was never able to get an explanation or "fix".
Since applying SP2 for XP all shared resources are now listed in My Network
under "This Computer" heading. Looks like MS addressed this issue with the
patch.
