Hello everybody. I Have a problem with my music folder. It has picures tasks
its obvious that the windows recognise it as a picure folder. I tried to
repair it , going to properties, but there is no customise tub. The tubs are
only 3. 1.General 2.Sharing 3.Web Sharing. has samebody any idea how can i
fix it? it cause me a lot of troubles :-(((((((
Bye to all out there.

Tubs ? - Did you mean TABs ? You can use Tweak-UI for listing &
changing profile defined folders (My Pictures, My Music). Invoke it
and expand My Computer, Special Folders. From here you can see
how those folder destinations are defined. Certain folders have within
them a unique Desktop.Ini file that controls the visual display of contents.

First of all a big thank you!
I remember you helped me again in the past!

Well, sorry for the tubs... the right is as you said tabs.
I done as you told me before, and i run the Tweak-ui,l but there i saw that
it gives me the change to change the destination of the folder. For instance
if i want to have another folder with music, then i give there the
destination..etc. You told me about ini files. In my music i found a
desktop.ini file.. i open it and there are theseee:

[DeleteOnCopy]
Owner=athenslb
Personalized=13
PersonalizedName=My Music
[.ShellClassInfo]
[email protected],-12689
IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll
IconIndex=-237

I'm confused because i don't know what to do with this.
If you know, and if you have the time, please help once again.
Greatings from greece :-)

The Desktop.Ini from My Music appears to be correct. When
you checked your profile folder destinations - was My Pictures
a different folder from My Music ? They should not point to the
same destination location on the drive.

You can override the default settings of the My Music folder by
renaming the Desktop.Ini to Desktop.Org-Ini and then using
Windows Explorer define your own personal view options. Using
the Details option, the Music folder should show standard columns
for media like Artist, Duration, Album.....

I'm not 100% clear on what your issue really is - so a few more
details on what concerns you might help.

This is most likely caused by a missing read-only attribute for the My Music
folder. In Tweak UI, click the "Repair" option, and select "Repair My Music
icon" from the drop-down list box. Click "Repair Now".

Alternately, use the method in the following page to fix the problem:

My Pictures and My Music folders are displayed with the standard folder
icon:

I tried but i did't found this option in my Tweak-ui. Tweak-ui can attempt to
repari the following aspects of your system: 1. Rebuild Icons
2. Repair Font Folder
3. Repair Hotkeys
4. Repair Regedit
5. Repair
Temp.Internet Files
:-(

Two questions:

1. Which version of TweakUI do you have?
2. What about the 2nd solution which I posted earlier?

I want to thnk you very much for helping me to find a way to fix the problem.

1. File version 1.33.0.0 if is too old where can i find newer?
2. The 2nd method did't do anything... i run these command: rundll32
mydocs.dll,PerUserInit and then Ok.. but nothing repaired.

I have an idea. Maybe system restore is helpfull?

1. You're usint the older version of TweakUI (written for Windows 9x
systems). Here is the one for Windows XP.

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/tweakui.htm

2. The command works, but doesn't notify the user after completion. It
silently fixes the My Music/My Pictures folder icon automatically.
