My Monitor Blinks

I have a new Dell Dimension 8250 computer. Every
so often my monitor will go black for a second and then come back on and
then 5 or 6 seconds later it will do the exact same thing ... then it won't
happen again for several hours. I contacted Dell and they had me do a bunch
of tests and ended up sending me a new monitor .... but it does exactly the
same thing as the first monitor. I have installed the
latest drivers for this monitor from Dell and for my video card (but it
happened before I installed the new drivers for both monitor/video card
too). Dell support sucks! Any suggestions?

if its not the monitor then its the video card.

you need to test in safe mode for extended period of time
if it happens in safe mode they need to replace the video
card next, p.s. dell support might suck,but they cant
help it if you have bad hardware.
 
could be the monitor's power supply? or something freaky in your power
conservation settings?
