My mistake. Let me try this again: How can I get IE?

I'm running Win2K and I would like to get the latest stable version of
Internet Explorer. I read that SP1 is actually IE6 + SP1.

Now there is a new issue: I need the latest stable version of IE in an
exe file that I can install when I'm offline, when I want to, and I
don't have to be connected to Microsoft to install it.

Do you know of any links that I can "Save Target As..." ?

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp
Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems
select OS type, fill the basket, download basket

it has an annoying habit of opening the first IE window when you
select details, which erases your selections if that happens to be your
basket selection window

no fun having to reselect 42 items, for the seventh time
if something doesn't download the more info links will usually get you
near where it lives
