My inbox is self emptying!!! only on my main computer though..???

Something has happened in the last few days and my inbox is not storing any
emails...

I can get on in the morning, browse emails that have just come in and then
if i leave to respond to them in the afternoon they are gone....
 
Are you sure you are looking to your Inbox and not for instance using the
Unread Mail Search Folder?
Also, have you verified that you do not have a filter set to show unread
items only? Reset the view if needed.
 
how many computers do you have checking mail? What type of account and where
is the delivery location on the other folders?

If you use Exchange and the second computer is using a pst as the default
delivery location, the behavior is as expected - you need to use the
exchange mailbox as the default on all computers.
