I located my archived .pst file on my hard drive and imported it into an
Outlook folder. But when I open the folder to view the contents, it's empty.
What am I doing wrong? I don't get any error message or any other indication
that something is wrong.

which version of outlook and are you using the folder list to view it?

I am using Outlook 2002 SP-2 (10.4712.4219). And I am using the Folder List
to view the pst file.

Do you know for a fact that the archived PST had contents prior to importing
it? Instead of importing, which you shouldn't do with a PST, did you try
File>Open>Outlook Data File?
