My Help file is incomplete [or broken?]

Running Excel 2000.

When I click on "See Also" at the top left of my Help screen, I get an
internet explorer error message:
"An error has occurred in the script on this page" Line1, Character 1. It
goes on with some other stuff.

Also, at the top of the page, I don't see hyperlinks anything else, but I
see two little blue squares with a dot in the middle of each, which I
usually associate with images that don't download.

I seem to have my help files confused. I've tried reinstalling Office, but
that doesn't help.

I've gone to the microsoft support website, and searched the database, but I
don't see anything there, either.

Any idea how I can get a functioning Help file?

Many thanks

Sigh. This is an ACCESS newsgroup, not an EXCEL newsgroup. Please at least
glance at a group before posting to it so you will know if it is appropriate
for your question.

Hi Margaret,

As Rick mentioned, this is an Access Query group. But, I recently
encountered what is likely the same error and it affects Access help as well.

If you are encountering the same error that I did, it is a result of a
recent IE security update from Microsoft.

The problem can be resolved by updating to the latest windows patch, or by
installing a hotfix (in my case our systems group has not yet updated to Win
XP SP2 because they are testing the implications - so I had to use the hotfix
and it did work).

You can read about the problem and resolution at:
