Amanda

i just got my computer yesterday and i was playing
solitaire and spider solitaire on XP, after i got it up
and running, and today the folder says its empty, i think
my brother deleted them how do i get them back??

Oh and when i go into add/remove they are still in there.
but when i search they don't come up at all

Try using System Restore to take your system back to a time prior to when
this began. Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.

If that fails to resolve it, return to Add/Remove, click Add/Remove Windows
Components, select Accessories and Utilities, click details, if there's a
check next to games, remove it, once the removal process is finished,
replace the check and that should reinstall the games.

here is what one person responded....try this...

This did not work at first. The games were checked but
did not show in my programs list. I downloaded the
updated Direct X from the Microsoft website. I restarted
my machine and follow the directions again without
success. Finally, I went through the directions,
unchecked the games and closed the application. I re-
opened the application, rechecked games, and closed the
application by clicking finish. The games were updated
and I am now in the middle of Spider Solitare. I am not
sure what happened.

Hi Amanda,

Instead of searching for the files to make new shortcuts, lets
use the easier method of uninstalling and reinstalling them. :-)

To add/remove Windows XP Games: Click START / Control Panel /
Add or Remove Programs / Add Remove Windows Components /
Accessories and Utilities / [Details...] / Games / [Details...] / then uncheck
and then recheck the games / Click [OK] 3 times to finish, and you're done!
