My FrontPage thumbnails are blurry enlarged images are sharp.

I edit photos in Adobe Elements and have done something so that now my
thumbnail images are blurred yet when enlarged the photos are sharp.

What have I done?

You can right-click on the thumbnail image and go to Picture Properties ->
Appearance where you can adjust the size of your thumbnail image. By
unchecking the "Keep aspect ratio box", you can adjust both the width and
height of the thumbnail picture image independently. I find that using a 50
pixels x 50 pixels thumbnail-sized image works best provided that the picture
is square to begin with. If not, just fool around with it until it looks
good. If the picture looks good in Adobe Elements, there is absolutely no
reason not to get a good thumbnail image.
