My folders are all wrong

Some of my folders are not set in the right template. For example, the "My Pictures" folder is set for the "Documents" template, when it should be set for the "Pictures" template. The "My Music" and "My Videos" folders are set for the "Pictures" template, but "My Music" should be in the "Music" template, and "My Videos" in the "Videos" template. I checked the Help and Support file, and it says that there is no way to rectify this. Is this true? If not, I'll have the "Remote Assistance" applet open for anyone who can help me. Just leave your email address in this post, or if you use Windows Messenger or MSN Messenger, leave that screen name. I'll be on until 11:00 PM CST.

Thank you.

Start - Control Panel - Folder Options - View - Reset All Folders

You were reading the wrong thing in help. You can't set them to be other than what they are supposed to be. But they are reading the wrong settings.

It can be fixed. But you may need to wipe out saved views. I'm leaving right now & the email addr in your post isn't your messenger email or we'd be chatting right now.

Have you ever applied Kelly's edit to increase the # of saved views?

Line #2, left-hand column.

This will result in the loss of saved folder views, but they are what is causing the problem in the first place. If you want to save your existing views, wait for me to get back to you :)

Thanks a lot! I don't know what the heck happened, but somehow the folders
are reading the settings they should be.
