I've seen that a person has to take ownership, of a directory through the
security otion. My computer does not show this. I've found that I have to
disable simple file sharing to enable the security feature. Again my
computer is not showing this. Is there a way around this, or am I looking in
the wrong spot?

Is Windows XP Home Edition installed on your computer? If so,
you'll need to restart your system and boot into Safe Mode in
order to have access to the Security tab of the folder's
properties sheet.

To start in Safe Mode, reboot your computer and
start tapping the F8 key as soon as you see anything displayed
on the screen. Keep hitting F8 until the Advanced Startup
Options menu appears. Use the up and down arrow keys on your
keyboard to select Safe Mode. Hit Enter. Make sure you log on
with an account that is a Computer Administrator.
