After a recent hard drive crash I upgraded from xp home to pro. Set up an
administrator account for myself and a limited account for my wife. Then
found there were 3 accounts, an "administrator account", my named account
with admin priveleges and my wifes limited account.
I deleted the "administrator account" but think its still somewhere unseen
in background.
Anyway, now for my problem, I can view all my wifes files and vice versa, I
thought xp pro was supposed to be more secure?? Can anyone help?

If you formatted the drive FAT32, then there would be no security. You must
use NTFS in order to security profiles and their related files. Note:
Administrator accounts can view all files for all profiles, but the limited
account should not be able to view admin or other limited viewer accounts.

I haven't formatted any drives as far as I'm aware but
then I'm no computer expert. The limited users have access
to administrator files at the moment.
