MY DVD BURNER WILL NOT LET ME ACCESS IT WITH A BLANK DVD HELP

IT WILL PLAY DVDS (DVD-R,DVD+R,STORE BOUGHT DVDS & DVD-\+RW)BUT WILL NOT LET
ME ACCESS IT WITH A BLANK DVDR. I HAVE MOVIES & DATA THAT I WANT TO STORE ON
DISK TOFREE UP SOME OF MY HARD DRIVE SPACE PLEASE HELP.
 
What third party burning software are you using? Nero? Roxio? Something
else?

And please turn off the Caps Lock key, it means you're shouting.
