my documents mirroring

My daughters (kathryn pc is duplicating/mirroring her my
documents folder as "kathryns documents". everything done
in either folder is duplicated in the other, file
changes,deletions whatever.Can I stop this as it is really
using a lot of hard disk space, CHEERS thanks in

I don't think you will find it is an actual duplication. The Folder
"Kathryn's Documents" is just a shortcut to her "My Documents" folder.

Search for a particular uniquely-named file and see how
many instances are found for it. There is probably only
one such file, because there is nothing that I know of
that can do that in Windows.

It is a single folder, that can be referred to by different routes.
Every user has a folder
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents
and when that user logs on the references "My Documents" (used in open
and save) and "Username's Documents" (as shown in My Computer) get
pointed to it, to make it easy for the user to get at her documents and
not mix them with anyone else's
