My desktop display shows red "l" instead of black

I'm so stupid!!

My display has started showing "l" and "i" in red. I fat-fingered a key
sequence - CTL/LEFT SHIFT - or something like that on that side of the
keyboard and the red letters started.

Shows up in e-mails, desktop icon descrips, but not in web pages. Reboot is
no help.

WTF?

I don't know what you did, but try a System Restore to before you did
it.

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
"Restore my computer to an earlier time".
