my d drive is stuffed plz help ?!?!?!?!?

can someone help me with my problem...here it is...well my d drive can play music and i can open files and things from my d drive but when i forget to take out the cd from the rom-drive and i restart the comp or turn it off...when i switch the comp back on the d drive has the cd name on the d drive but when i take out the cd and refresh the "my computer" screen it is still there and even when i close it and do it it still is the same and even when i put a blank disc to burn music the comp tells me that the cd in the rom is full but it is a blank disc?!?!? can some one please help me cause it is a pain and its holding me back from burning music...

c'mon can some one please help me do i need a disc the cleans the lenses of the computer or is there some sort of virus please help me asap...
