My connection keeps being interrupted, stopping outgoing email

After opening Outlook (2003) I can send just one email before I then get the
following error message after trying to send another:
Task 'xxxxx - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the
server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server
administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

My ISP (AOL) states they cannot help because I am using 3rd party software.

The symptoms are consistent with spyware contaminating your
computer. Download, install, update and scan with Ad-aware
