I noticed my computer had two winlogon.exe files and I
renamed one because I wasn't sure. Now after rebooting, my
computer will not startup. I've tried boot up disk to
restart, but it keeps looping or rebooting. I've even
tried all of the safe mode options but now luck. Please
help.

Lee;

You should be able to boot to recovery console and rename the file
back.. This should restore the PC to the way it operated prior to you
renaming the file.

To do this will need to boot your computer from your Windows XP CD.

When you get the the install menu it will ask you to press enter to
performa a new install, or press R for recovery console.

Press R

You will then be taken to a black screen that will ask you which
install you would like to log in to even if you have only one listed.

Type the number next to the install you want to access. This is
typicly 1.

You should then be prompted for your administrator password. Type
this in, then press enter.

You will then be taken to the C:\WINDOWS prompt. From here you can
use normal DOS commands to rename the file back.
