My computer takes soooo long to start up???????

It lingers on startup scripts for a long time, any suggestions??

I checked what programs are started when windows starts, and there are only
5 so i dont think it is that.

What DO you think is causing it?

Since you posted so little info in your original post, we've got to
depend on your thoughts on the matter.
 
what does lingers for a long time mean??? 3-4 minutes? 10-20 , what??
have you scanned for mal/spyware, checked on what processes are loading at
startup? have norton AV software set to scan at startup? BIG resource hog,
and major slowdown issues.
