I am new here so I hope someone can help. My computer is fairly new like 4
months or so old, and a few days ago I went to shut it down and it would not
shut down finally had to manually do it. Which I hate doing. Now it is
pulling things up real slow and it takes like 10 minutes just to reboot. Can
some one please give me any info on how I can correct this issue. I know my
way around a computer a little bit but can't figure this out. Thanks for your
time.

It could be alot of things but the first thing is you might have alot of
spyware slowing your system down. AD AWARE and SPYWARE BLASTER will help with
that. Make sure you get ZONE ALARM also, these are all free. I assume you
have some kind of anti virus software also. 2> you might need to defragment
and clean your pc up of any junk and clutter. Disk cleanup comes with windows
and does ok if you have nothing else and so does the defragmenter. If you
know your way around you will find them. If not, reply. 3> Depending on what
your memory is on your pc, you might simply have too much stuff or programs
trying to load at startup. Try these basics first. If the pc is new it is
likely one of these. let me know.

Thanks for the tips I will defrag it tonight. I am using a progam called
secret maker the person that built my computer put in on here for me. I do
have an antivirus program. I will look into the spyware blaster. I will also
look in to that zone alarm. I did get rid of a program and it seems to be
running a little better we will. see I do apreaciate your reply.
