My computer has slowed down

My computer over the past few months has slowed quite a
bit. It takes a while to open programs like word and
gradequick. The disk space is as follows:
C: Total: 52.2 free 42.9
D: Total: 5.01 free 1.17
I have a celeron CPU with 2.00 GHz and 256 MB RAM. My
documents occupies 191 MB on hard disk.

I have those things installed and nothing is wrong with
teh computer, adware, virus wise.

Based on common thinking, 256 megs of ram is hardly enough.. If you can
upgrade to at least 512 or maybe evn 768, it would help a great deal more
than likely, ; ram is a relatively cheap and effective upgrade.
