First, create a System Restore point, or a registry backup using ERUNT. Then
try this:
Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.EXE
Navigate to the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\
Delete the sub-key named "{0DF44EAA-FF21-4412-828E-260A8728E7F1}"
Similarly, delete the sub-key "{0DF44EAA-FF21-4412-828E-260A8728E7F1}" from
the following branch
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\
If one of the above registry branches do not exist, ignore that step.
Close Regedit.exe

Is it possible to remove items from the my computer folder? I would like to
remove the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" button which is displayed
there along with my drive icons which I would like to keep.
OS is XP Pro.
Thanks.
