My Computer Display very slow after FAT32 to NTFS conversion

I just converted my D: drive from FAT32 to NTFS using the convert utility.
The conversion showed no problem and I can easily get to the drive via
the cmd prompt.

When I open My COmputer it takes about 5 minutes before it displays my
devices. The D: drive does appear. (See scanning flashlight while waiting)

I also experience the problem when using any File Open dialog box and
go to browse for a file.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks,

That did it. I had an HP 5470c Scanjet. When I shut it down
the My Computer display came up quickly.

I have the same problem with the flashlight going FOREVER when I open My
Computer or Windows Explorer. I also have a problem when using Internet
Explorer. I type in an address and it takes forever. I don't get an
hourglass or anything. However, if I click on a link or a favorite, the site
comes right up. Oh, and I looked at that MS link and I do not have any of
those products and that service is manual and stopped. If you have any
suggestions, I would appreciate it!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! I have had EXACTLY the same problem - Not only is My
Computer in Explore XTREMELY slow, but also when I type a web address in
Internet Explorer it takes forever to go there, but not if I click a link. I
spent hours on the phone with HP Pros who were clueless. I mean, we tracked
it down to having to do with Scanner Drivers. I tried 3 different
manufactures with and without software - it came down to the Drivers. So
with no way to fix it I just have never used a scanner. But this week I got
a Digital Camcorder and when I used it for the first time with my computer
the SAME thing started happening! Again, it must be something with the
imaging Drivers in Windows. Driving me crazy! Anyone else have this issue
and know a solution?
