Hi,

I have a windows 2000 laptop. The clock on this computer
seem to be very slow. Even if I adjust the time
in "Date/Time Properties" tab to correct time, it slows
down eventually. If I don't update it for few days... the
difference is in hours.

Is this a hardware/firmware issue or Is there any OS
patch available to fix this. This is important as all my e-
mails are going out with wrong time on it. Also the files
are saved with incorrect time.

Thank You,
-- Raam.

I would assume that since you are running Windows 2000,
that your computer is a few years old now. Your BIO's
battery probably needs to be replaced.

Losing time is one of the first indicators that the
battery is getting old needs to be replaced.
