My code isn't working for "show last"

My code shows this: =DLast("ProjectNumber","Projects")

I'm trying to get it to show me the "ProjectNumber" in a text box on a form.
It shows me the PN associated with the record that was the last record when I
put the code in, and now no matter how many records I add (number before or
after), it refuses to change. If I change the # of this record, it still
shows it.

Help!!
