Somehow my calculator---hte basic program that runs under
general accessories that come with Windows, has gone
missing. How do I restore it? Is there a free down-load
or patch? Was this caused by a virus or worm? Please
help.

Is the calculator missing or just the link to it?
The calculator is located at:
C:\windows\system32\CALC.EXE
If it is there right click and drag it to your start menu then release the
button and select "Create Shortcut"

You sure can.
But remember that if you go that route you'll have to do that every time you
want to use the calculator.

Hi, Dan.

Did you install the Calculator? It's one of the optional Windows components
and may have been overlooked somehow during the install - or uninstalled
later.

In Control Panel | Add or Remove Programs, click the icon to Add/Remove
Windows Components. Drill down to Accessories...Calculator, check the box,
then OK your way out. You should then find Calculator on your Start menu
under Accessories.
