My boot screen dissappeared

I recently tried to modify my boot screen, the one that displays an
image when you restart and turn on the computer. Before I finished the
install, I noticed that the installer was also trying to install some
unwanted software (not like a virus or trojan), and canceled the
install. When rebooting my PC, I found that my boot screen now doesn't
appear at all, even though the ntsokrnl.exe is still there, what can I
do to make is come back?

thanks in advance,
Haggisfarm

Start > Run > "Msconfig" (Without quotes) > BOOT.INI tab
Untick all the options...
- - - - - - -
If that doesn't work then :

Click Start > Run
Type "attrib -s -h -r \Boot.ini" (Without quotes)
Click OK
Click Start > Run
Type "notepad \boot.ini" (Without quotes)
You will see the Boot.ini.
Under operating systems section, if you see "/kernel=xxxx" (no quotes) or
"/noguiboot" (again, no quotes) remove them.

Sorry, that didn't work, none of those things showed up in the Boot.ini
file. Do you have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Haggisfarm
