When I double click on My Access database program can not be opened while
pressing shift, it does not open the database for showing me the tables and
queries,...

But if I don't press the shift, it shows me the exe file.
This program has bug and I need to fix it, would you please tell me what the
problem is?

Thanks
Tara

Are you double clicking on an MDB file? What EXE are you talking about?

yes I double clicking on an MDB file and while I'm pressing shift, it doesn't
shoe the tables.

Did it work before and just stop working? Has the AllowBypasskey been locked?
What EXE are you talking about or do you just mean the MDB runs.

I don't know about before, I just started my new job and an access
application full of bug was written by somebody along time ago, and the
client recieve a lot of problem with this application, the original
programmer is passed away, there is no System.MDW which give me permission to
view the objects in design mode(like Reports and Macros), and I'm supposed to
fix the problems, just by double clicking on Tables and see what is going on,
do you think I need more authorithy on this program to solve the bugs, or
this is enough?

I just mean the MDB runs, now on this MDB file with double clicking and
pressing shift, it doesnot show me the tables, but without pressing Shift the
application will work.

Where is AllowBypasskey?

Thanks

Nothing whatsoever to do with this case I am sure, but I have been to
numerous place where the designer has "passed away" or "emigrated" and the
application is either an illegal copy or there was some dispute about money
and the company does not want to crawl back to the original developer.

I found the problem solve, it was minimized in Access so I was not able to
see the tables, but still I'm waiting from the company to give me the correct
system.mdw.

Thanks,
Tara
