As above, a lot of"experts"go on about using gpedit in windows but seem to
forget it is NOT part of XP Home, cannot be used with and will not run with.
Why don't they say "IF you have XP Pro then use"
NOT everyone has XP Pro(yes some people have it even when they do not need
it).........

The average home user will never have need of gpedit, and the type of
problems encountered would never require the use of gpedit.. it is assumed
that any system or LAN problem that does require gpedit will have been set
up with the appropriate OS and will be overseen by a network admin who, for
the most part, knows his stuff already..

If we were to have to list all proviso's, one of them would undoubtedly have
to be..

"Please do not eat the packaging in which the XP CD is supplied, as you may
need the number on the yellow sticker at some point in the future.. ".. :)

The other part is that most of the MVP's or those of us that are power
users are running XP Pro and we are capable of sometimes forgetting Home
users do not have this.

The largest part is as Mike said though, when the use of gpedit is
necessary, it is usually for people running Pro.
