MVP Ping - KB 835732 Issue

I have tried to use the MS update site at
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp to download this
patch. Also I did a manual download and install. All the
installations appear to be successful, but when I return to check at
the above update site, the scan shows that I still need this patch.
I've rebooted and even tried a safe mode install.

The machine is XP, with Sygate FW, AV, and frequent use of CWShedder
and Ad-aware. Any suggestion? tia

PS ... Also tried an uninstall and reinstall. Same story. Site scan
shows that this patch needs to be install.
