Hello All: Am having problems with all MS Office software including FP 2000.
Specifically whenever I use Tools/Addins or Customize(FP), any of the tool
options in Excel, Word won't open and PowerPt works okay so far. I have
checkdisked, defrag, emptied temp folders, all *.web files, cmdprui (FP as
per MVP's there) did uninstall and reboot, then reinstalled Office and then
FP.

Have done this twice now with no change. THEREFORE, I thought I might post
here and see if there might be something I can do within XP Home settings to
fix, ie registry checks, etc. Just a stab before I have to format and
reinstall from D:OEM reinstall and then over 65 programs on Fujitsu laptop,
1.2 meg with 512 ram, XP SP1 with all updates and all Office updates.

Hi Rod,

I'm neither an Office expert nor a WinXP expert, but I think you should also
post a question to one of the Office newsgroups on this same news server.

Registry errors are the bane of Office reinstallations - they tend to
remain. If this is Office97, there is a registry cleaner on MS Office
site which will remove all Office registry entries *after* a
deinstallation, providing for a clean reinstallation. I do no know
about later versions of Office, but you might check the Office site for
reinstallation help.
