Music tranfer problem

I have just bought a new nokia 6230. I am trying to copy music from my computer to my mmc card to play back on my phone. When I select the track in my phone which is also an mp3 player it is telling me on the phone that it is the wrong file format can anyone help, its really starting to p--s me off
 
Go to the Nokia website, that's where I got the below information by doing a
Google search, you can do that also. You can drag&drop music files to the Nokia
via Windows Explorer.
