Linda

Can anyone help me? I recently upgraded to a new
computer system. I used the hard drive that was in my
old system plus added a new one. I also have 2 external
hard drives that containe all my music files. When I try
to play my music on MusicMatch or Windows Media Player it
tells me I have to migrate license's, then connects to
the Internet and trys to do just that. But, I just get
this message: This content has been shared by multiple
users on multiple machines and cannot proceed with
further migration. I only had one computer that my music
was on but did have the same music files in several
places on that computer and moved them around quite a bit
to accomodate that size as the files grew. Can anyone
help, as I can't play all this music I have stored on the
computer. I put all my CD's onto the computer and then
got rid of them so I would not have to store and move
them around all the time. I thought I was doing myself a
favor but just one computer change and now I'm in real
trouble. Help Please! Thank's

When you ripped them, did you have "protected content" set to "on"?

I'm not that smart. I don't know how and didn't know I
could turn "protected content" on or off. I'm not that
cool either. :)

You'll have to look in WMP's settings to see if DRM is enabled. I don't use WMP,
so I don't know how you would go about fixing your problem. I'm sure a search
on Google Groups would and an answer. http://groups.google.com/

Thanks Galley. I think that I've found out since playing
with with for a week now that I have to call and pay
Microsoft for there help. If they will give it.
Otherwise I have to re-invest in the music collection I
once had and rip them all over again. Overwhelming,
Daunting and I'm ready to cry. Thanks again.

Linda, there may be a couple of other things can try to access the music files
Using Windows Explorer, copy and paste the files or drag and drop from one
drive to the other
Also, check your settings in the file Tranfer Wizard, under Accessories
System Tools/Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
