Is there a port on the cpu to plug in a cassette player
and copy to hard drive? Wanting to make cd`s from
cassette music. Don`t want to do damage to cpu. Thank
you, P. Blanchard

Usually called the Line In and on part of the Soundcard or built in
soundchip.

Definitely NOT part of the CPU.... the CPU is the processor and the only
thing that it attaches to is the motherboard. On top of the CPU sits
(usually) a heatsink and fan as it generates a lot of heat in use and has to
be kept cool... or it cooks itself. You won't damage the CPU by attaching
an audio cable to the Line In port... the usual way to damage a CPU is run
it for more than a nanosecond without heatsink and fan. And that is usually
fatal, particularly if it is an AMD product.
