music files

I have numerous song files in MY MUSIC folder on XP home . If I use
realone player ,windows media player9 and Sonic Stage softwear and
create a library in each will I end up with multiple copies of the
songs on my hard drive or does each softwear program simply access the
music as it is in my music folder .Thanks for your help

Each music program scans the harddrive if you tell it to, and creates
a library where all the information about the files is stored.
They_do_not duplicate the files.

A typical library size for 1,500 songs would be 8 MB; so you see, it
is not much space at all.
