Music Cd

When I load a Music CD the windows XP shuts and restarts automatically with an error message, it does the same if I try to copy music track using Windows media player or Musicmatch, although I can copy music tracks to a blank cdr using Sonic recordnow dx. Any thoughts?

Thanks annonymouse, not too helpful there. Anyone else out there? The drives read data and other stuff but the pc crashes when I load music cds.
