multipule instances

Quick Question, My Work has upgraded me to Office 2000.
If I have 2 files open in excel I have 2 instances of
excel on my menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Is there
a way to eliminate this. I was using office 97 (dont
ask!!) and if two files were open they would be in the
same excel instance. Even though they seem to be
different instances the Ctrl Tab short cut still toggles
between the 2 excel files. If I hit the Alt tab shorcut i
see one icon for the excel application as well as an icon
for each excel file open.

Any Ideas?

Hi

They are not two instances, just two taskbar entries, an option to make it
"look more like Word" I think. Go menu Tools > Options > View > uncheck
Windows in taskbar. (In Word 2000 you can't turn this off btw.)

thanks
